Re: Try this way to lock the signal, Guaranteed
Sorry. There're typos in the numbers in my previous post. Here is the corrected one:
Iron City,
The problem you have is probably too trust to the frequencies you find in lyngSat.com. Due to frequency shift of your LNBF and/or your satellite receiever, the fre 12177 post in lyng is not necessarily exactly the one in your system. Try this way and it guarantees to lock the signal:
(1) Adjust the dish to get the maximum signal reading while at the same thing, to get a maximum STEADY quality reading (such as 45-50, but not jumping around from 0 to 100) for a strong TP, even though the satellite is not locked.
(2) In the receiver, input the SR=23000 (as in your example), freq as 12177, 12180, 12185, ... each time for 2 seconds, see if it locks the signal. Try 12177+(or -30) range, to get best reading of quality when locking the satellite. It will.
(3) Calculate the freq differene, such as 12200(final best reading)-12177(in lyng)=+23. Add +23 to all the TP freqs found in lyng and enter into your receiver. No change for SR.
(4) You have locked all the TP channels.
(5) Do a final adjustment of the dish for the best reading for all TPs.
