I currently Have 2 Fortec Platinum receivers, a BEC 1000 and a Coship Irdeto.

Fortec - Like the blind search, USALS, Multilanguage OSD. Dislike no ac3 need to make dual entries for a sat. One for C and the other for KU. This really becomes a mess when coupling to multiple dishes. Have yet to figure out how to enter a sat and have it usable with USALS. Not a big deal can always set with 1.2 just a pain. Tendancy to crash when searching channels after a blind search when the receiver is loaded with channels.

Coship - Picture quality is excellent. CA receiver so is great for coupling to a big dish. Do not really care for the sat setup/config. Have yet to find an easy to comprehend system to use when coupled with my 8' dish. I guess same as the Fortec. Multiple entries per sat. No crashes experienced as of yet.

BEC1000 - Easy to enter new sats. Can set LNB to each individual TP. Only one entry per sat, just specify the LNB you are using for that TP. Picture quality is comparable to the Fortec. No USALS. Multilanguage OSD but weak in appearance. Crashes frequently when loaded with 700+ channels. Sometimes deleting all channels. Has ac3

Overall I say it just depends on what you want. Dollar for feature I would rank the Fortec 1st, the BEC 2nd and finally the Coship although it does have a great picture
