No... your signal meter does not identify the satellite. If you are getting signals for AMC15 when you want AMC2, then it means you are 20 degrees off.
If you go to the setup screen for AMC6 at 72 but your dish is pointed at Echostar1 at 148, you'll still get a signal reading on AMC6. The reading has nothing to do with AMC6.
