tiypically, if you buy the receiver from an outlet like Radio Shack, there is committment deals etc, and with that they give free
installation, including receiver, dish, running all the cables etc to the rooms. If you're going that route, why not let them do the whole setup for free?

Sadoun does sell Dish on his website). There are folks here that work on Dish stuff, there is aonther forum for Dish, maybe move this post over to there.
There are many places on the net for Dish self install, I'd simply use GOOGLE and search for those terms.
Although there are similarities to setting up each system, there are quirks that pertain to Dish type stuff (dish skew, switches,
aiming screen on the receiver) that are focused on it's install. I dont know if the receiver comes with self setup instructions, I've never owned Dish or Directv.
