VTV4 Transponder change... the sequel

Effective Oct. 1/05 VTV4 has moved to a new transponder; same as it was back in June but this time it looks permanent. The new parameters are:

frequency = 11,966 MHz
polarity = HORIZONTAL
symbol rate = 22,000

You must edit or add a transponder to your FTA receivers (unless you own a blind search model). Enter the data above for the new transponder and scan that transponder. VTV4 will come in.

Please note that the new transponder is weaker than the previous one and you may need to tweak your dish to bring it in. If you get no signal at all you may have a bad LNB. The old transponder was VERTICAL polarity and the new one is HORIZONTAL. Some LNBs, if they go bad, will pick up only one polarity but not the other. Many of our customers watch only VTV4 and therefore they never knew they had a bad LNB until the transponder changeover. Also, check for bad cable connections and make sure there are no splitters in line between the dish and receiver.
