YES: Since
Dishnetwork use small dishes (18"-24") and circular polarity LNBS, you can only receive the FTA channels from their satellites. However, you will not be able to receiver the encrypted channels. For those channels you will need to susbscibe and pay your monthly fee to Dish Network to be able to receiver the channels. We do not condone illigal reception of encrypted signal.

NO: Since the other satellites (i.e.
Telstar 5, Galaxy 3C, etc) use much weaker signal transmission, and linear polarization, you will need a bigger dish (30"+) and a linear type LNBF like the type available here:
