Been trying a week!! Cant point!

I have had at this dish and motor I bought, its an hh90 stab motor with a 90cm multistar dish and a cheapy LNB.. I have a satellite meter, and I point my dish at true south, (79w) the find the closest satellite to that point, I have to point at 190 degrees, (180 plus magnetic deviation for this area=190).. the sat meter picks up strong signal and right to the left of that satellite is another satellite with weaker signal. I tried to point to both with no luck, meter picks up good strong signal, but when I go back to the nexus-s card running VDR there is very weak signal sometimes not at all..

will a regular KU LNB 11700-12200 let the satellite meter pick up satellites that dont broadcast in those frequency ranges? (nimiq 2)
is it possible the LNB is no good, the absolute best signal strength I can get on a real good attempt is around 50-60%.. but I dont know if they are bogus readings, my LNB is this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Standard-Linear-...cmd ZViewItem
I have the coax connector pointing straight down, as there is no skew markings on it
