No, I loved my CoolSat. Nothing at all wrong with it. I even managed to get AC3 audio working with the new firmware that CoolSat released to support the card reader (even though I didn't have the reader).

I went with the PanSat 3500s for two reasons:

#1 - I needed polarotor (skew) control now that I'm setting up a 5' BUD :mozilla_cool:

#2 - The Component video output was a BIG plus for my as my TV seems to HATE s-video.

The PanSat has better AC3 support than the CoolSat from what I've been reading. I don't think it's so much that it works better but rather that it will scan in the AC3 APIDs better than the CoolSat does. I was missing audio on ImaginAsian for quite a while until I went with the new firmware and was able to edit the APID in NDFEdit.

A weak point on the PanSat is the blind scan is slower and has been known to hand on some transponders.

I probaly should have kept my CoolSat. I have this sinking feeling that I'm going to miss it.

This is my new 'dish tree' (work in progress!):

Shawn
