European channels are anxious to enter the North American market. All of that because of the lower costs of satellite bandwidth.
MPEG4 gives you DVD quality picture using the same bandwidth as MPEG2. However, with the same picture quality of MPEG2 picture, you can fit more channels in the same bandwith using MPEG4. Thus, the lower cost per channel.
I suspect 2006 going to be a very exciting year for this hobby.
