Simply untrue. Some folks in California do get
C-band from Pas8, no one has succeeded with Ku though.
About the elevation concerns, I have no problem pulling Ku signal at 7 degs (I707 at 53W)
If you are in San Francico, the elevation for Pas8 is 6 degs. However 1.2m is still not large enough to pull in Ku from this bird
