my suggestion now is to not use the motor, and see if you can install your system as stationary dish only.

This will accomplish a couple things -

1. you can get used to how touchy and particular pointing these FTA dishes can be,

2. Get used to how your box displays transponders and signal levels.

Use this location to calculate your dish setting parameters:

Once you find that your can get some signal levels & quality on a fixed setup, then add the motor.

One thing that seemed to help one of the other guys that was having trouble, instead of using "Universal 1" as the LNB type, he changed the box settings to STD (standard) and began to see some signal reception.

and

Make sure you are on the IF INPUT on the back of the box (not ANTENNA IN)
