I disagee that the mounting point on the shaft affects the rotational angle.

Imagine a shaft with 10 foot long mounting area (after the bend).
Would 3 dishs along the straight length point to different satellites?
I don't think so.

OK so you are looking for more than the "newbie" explanation on how the angles are calculated.
I'm sure there's some type of formula used (as evidenced by the P-60 - LAT stuff) for the motors. I suppose I could figure it out if I thought about it long enough, but why re-invent the wheel? Just information gathering?
