Sadoun has with the past few months amended their warranty policy.
This is highlighted in
RED on their website:
Warrantee work beyond 30 days from ordering date is provided by the manufacturer and/or their representative directly and not by us. When you got your order the first time, your item came with a warrantee card and the address where to send it for repairs or warrantee claim.

In my case I did have to send back a DOA motor to them. It took me a while to get the thing installed (because of where it was going to be installed, on the roof of a company and I had ask in order to gain access to the roof) and when I did, it didn't work. I paid by check. It took a few days for the check to get there, they held the check to clear, and then for them to ship, and me to receive the equipment and wait for weekend install date.
That transit time, check clearing delay, and install delay was technically my doing. But I should not be penalized because of the way I had perferred to place my order. Luckily, this policy changed occured pretty much on the very next day I requesed an RMA number from them.
All in all, the procedure from that experience went OK, I got the RMA, sent back the motor, received the replacement and it has been fine since.
I can understand their point of view, but personally I feel it should be date of RECEIPT of items, not date of order for the clock to start ticking....
Gloworm:
I guess if you are not happy with their terms, there are other places on the internet to shop. I don't know the specifics in your case, but in my experience they stand behind DOA equipment. If you have to utilize it, just make sure you make it inside their warranty time window...
I have no idea what other vendors on the 'net that sell these items do, as this is the only place I have shopped from for the systems I have installed.
Good luck.
