I pointed the dish at 185.something for
Telstar 5
44.something for elevation.
The deck picked up the signal right off the bat. I thought for sure I did something wrong, but it was a good signal.
I didn't have hardly anything screwed down on the dish, and I figgured I'd be in for an hour's worth of peaking the dish to even get a marginal signal. Right when I turned the Fortec receiver on and stepped through the setup procedures on the green sheet, it showed 88+ percent signal and a green bar. I went ahead and hit OK to do a full scan with reservations.. the dish mount wasn't even fully plumb! I just wanted to light it up to see how close I was. The receiver is so forgiving it picked up everything. Did a full scan in about a minute and I show channels 1 to 104 on Telstar 5.
