Is there a limitation on the RG6 cable length, connected from Fortec 6000 to
Stab 120 HH (120cm dish), about 235 ft length? I have yet to make the dish move. and record a signal of the universal LNBF, from this distance. Since Stab motor gets its electrical from RG6 cable, could it loose electrical sensitivity on lengthy cable runs?
I recently purchased the total system, but my time and weather on the east coast is unfavorable. Also I have connected a line amp from LNB to Stab motor, still no sign of operation. Once weather cooperates, I plan to move receiver next to dish for fine tuming. Any recommendations?????
Note: Dish is monted near my motorized 10 ft dish, I wanted to keep all sat dishes near each other. I have never experienced difficulty from 235 ft, and have always used a line amp for C and KU LNB. I know the receiver works since I used a spare 90cm dish near house, and it registered a signal with a standard LNBF.
