Rumores talk about a new Moroccan channel mixing RTM and 2M to be soon launched. The problem for launching a Moroccan channel is the cost of sending it through 2 satellites to arrive to North America. The Moroccan channels are beamed to Europe, North Africa and the Middle East because most satellite there cover the area with one beam. EX hot bird.

For them to send the signal, they have to send it to an Atlantic satellite and from there the signal will have to go up to another satellite covering the USA. Just like the Rominan Channel, it's beamed to the Eat coast through Intelsat 903 at 34.5°W and from there the signal goes up to Telstar 5. Somtimes they send a signal through cable like the Arabsat bouqet on Telstar 5 or Hispasat 1C.another solution is to sedn the signal directly from Morocco to the Americas through an Atlantic satellite but with low symbol rate and with a coverage of a part of the USA(ex, Hispasat) and also with low elevation! and low elevation meanes a difficult installation.
It's all about $
