Unless you have a multi-system TV, use the RCA composite cables. The video output out of the Yellow RCA outlet is NTSC & PAL. The one out of the RF output is only PAL. That is why you are not getting a signal on your TV since it only accepts NTSC signals.

Now, if you don't have RCA video inputs on your TV:
~ Connect the RCA cable from the receiver to a VCR inputs.
~ Turn TV to Channel 3 or 4
~ Use the TV/Video (or Input) button on your VCR remote to switch to Video 1 (or AV1)
~ You should see the menu now
