LNBF question

Hello all,
I'm new in the hobby, and I havent been able to get any picture from any satelite. I would like to know, assuming my setup is completely wrong, and for this matter completely opposite, shouldnt my strength and quality index be 0 or a very low number? No matter where I point my dish I get 68-72 strength and a constant 37-38 for quality. Even when I took the LNBF off the arm still had the same numbers.
System: 31 inch dish, BEC STB DB-2000 receiver,
standard ku LNBF with the following specs Freq:11700-1220 noise 0.5db, gain 55db LO 10750 MHz

Depending where I point the dish shouldnt the reading decrease or increase. I dont mind that I do not get higher readings, what makes me mad is why dont I get lower readings if I point to the wrong direction. Is there anything wrong with the LNBF or receiver.
Thank you.
