Thank you for the explanation, but I still have not been able to get any signal quality. I was able to easily lock in on the Bell satellite with my other receiver. But
Telstar 5 is just escaping me. This is my fourth system (the other 2 are from Dish Network) using a Samsung DSR 3800 system with a Samsung universal LNB and 76 cm dish. I live in Irvine, CA: my elevation is 44.9, my azimuth is 131.8 (Magnetic North) and the polarization tilt is -28.1 I set my LNB LO to 10750, Tone to 22k. I scanned all 16 transponders on T5 and I even used a custom setting with afrequency of 12146, "Vertical" Polarization, 22000SR without any success (signal quality was always ZERO). Can someone please tell me what am I doing wrong? The dish was mounted on the roof (3 different locations) and with an elevation of almost 45 degrees, I do not have an obstacle (tree or other house) in front of me. Is it possible that the LNB is defective?
Thank you!
